2008 Boys and Girls All Star Teams
 
Each year, the Greater Seattle Youth Bowling Association selects a boys and a girls all star team to represent Seattle youth bowlers. The selection criteria to make the all star team is a combination of a bowler's composite average from at least 2 leagues, their participation in Association events, and the results of a qualifying tournament held for all of the all star candidates. Following the conclusion of the all star qualifying tournament held at Magic Lanes on April 12, 2008, six boys and six girls were selected for the 2008 Seattle Youth all star teams:

Greater Seattle Youth All Stars Sweep South Sound in the Home and Home Match
 
Every year the Greater Seattle and South Sound All Star teams get together for two nights of fun and competition. They bowl four games each night and total pins after the two nights determines the winner.
 
On Tuesday night, May 20th, the competion started at Skyway Park Bowl in Seattle with the Seattle girls bowling games of 1040, 844, 944 and 880 for a total of 3708, while the South Sound girls had a total of 3573. On Thursday night, May 22, the competition moved to Narrows Plaza in Tacoma. The Seattle girls bowled games of 833, 841, 823 and 944 to add to their lead and win the match by a score of 7199 to 7092.  Catherine Rawsthorne finished the match with a 259 game and averaged 202 over the seven games that she bowled. Chelsea Lynch had a 1237 series (7 games), Correen Lieber had a 1211 series (7 games), Jamillyah had a 1349 series (8 games), Megan Page had a 1410 series (8 games), and Krissy Nagasawa had a 579 series (3 games).
 
The Seattle boys team completed the sweep by starting with games of 1000, 1146, 1119 and 956 at Skyway Park and leading after the first night by 4221 to 4074. They kept up the pressure on Thursday night and won the match by a total of 8073 to 7838. Cameron Weier led with a high total of 1806 for 8 games (a 225 avg, including a 770 series for his first 3 games), Ryan Maytash had a 1603 series (8 games), Brandon Dunson bowled a 1586 series (8 games), Sam Neves had a 1344 Series (7 games) and Adrian Ellison had a 1153 series (6 games).
 

 
Split Results at The Inter-Association All Star Tournament
 
The Interassociation All Star Tournament was held at Narrows Plaza in Tacoma on the weekend of June 7-8, 2008. The tournament included Boys All Star teams from Cowlitz, Kitsap, South Sound, Seattle, Skagit and Thurston Associations. The Girls All Star teams included all but Skagit.
 
The Seattle girls team lost 4 of 7 points in their first game, and then proceeded to take 25 out of the next 28 points. Led by Chelsea's 202 average, the team averaged 915 in match play. In the Baker competition, the girls captured 17 out of 25 points on Saturday, and 11 out of 25 on Sunday. However, they finished strong to win their final match and win the tournament by one point over South Sound, 56 to 55. Snohomish finished third with 51 points. The Seattle girls team had the high Baker match with games of 254 and 246 for a match total of 500.
 
Chelsea Lynch had the tournament high game for the girls of 231, had the high three game set of 587, and high five game set of 1008.
 
In the boys division, the Seattle boys started their match play with the high game of the tournament's first game with 1135. Cameron Weier (235), Brandon Dunson (269), Adrian Ellison (235), Ryan Maytash (199) and Sam Neves (197). Seattle finished with a total of 65 points, 20 points behind Cowlitz and Snohomish who finished in a tie for first with 85 points and had to have a Baker match roll-off for the championship.
 
Cameron Weier had the high 7 game total for the tournament with 1579 (225 average).
