2009 WSBPA High School Varsity Championships
The 2009 High School Varsity Singles Championship were held February 21-22, 2009 at HiLine Lanes in Burien. The Varsity Team Championship were held the same weekend at ACME Bowl in Tukwila.
The Team event consisted of 5 games of position round matches on Saturday, followed by 5 Baker matches on Sunday.
The Singles event consisted of 5 games of bowling on Saturday and then 3 additional games on Sunday. Each division was cut to the top five bowlers who then bowled a step-ladder finals.
Below are the first day and final standings:
Division 1 Team
The 2009 Champions of Division 1 was the team from Wilson High School with 51 points, followed by Fife High School with 39 points.
The Wilson High team consists of Spenser Ready, Matthew Parish, Brandon Scheetz, Michael Parish, Ricky Leighton and Tyler Cruz.
Division 1 All State Team
The Division 1 All State Team consisted of Zach Stone (R.A. Long), Billy Brice (Moses Lake), Tyler Cruz (Wilson), Cameron Weier (Federal Way League) and Brandon Tuttle (Cascade).

The Day 1 leader is Wilson High School with 24 points, followed by RA Long with 21 points.
High games for the boys were Zack Stone with a 290 game and Brandon Tuttle with a 275 game. High game for the girls went to Shanice Brice with a 214.
Division 2 Team
The 2009 Champions of Division 2 was the team from Shadle Park High School with 47 points, followed by Mark Morris High School with 42 points.
The Shadle Park Team consists of Dalton Shears, Nathan Rawley, Jordan Pilgeram, Sam Shepard, Ryan Gately and Bryce
Division 2 All State Team
The Division 1 All State Team consisted of Riand Poblete (Mariner), Dalton Shears (Shadle Park), Chris Gray (John Rogers), Matt Lewis (Mark Morris) and Dan Elwell (Ferndale).

The Day 1 leader is Mark Morris High School with 24 points, followed by Mariner and Shadle with 22 points each.
The Mark Morris team consists of Matt Lewis, Michael Bales, Louie Idlett, Donovan Froid and Tysan Fuqua.
High games for the boys went to Daltong Shears with a 289 game and Riand Poblete with a 263 game. High game for the girls went to Amber Maeder with a 213.
Division 3 Team
The 2009 Champions of Division 3 was the team from Woodinville High School with 53 points, followed by Kentwood High School with 42 points.
The Woodinville team consists of Clayton Bult, Danaka Heekin, Toby Sheperd, Zach Hemming and Randy Cumming.
Division 3 All State Team
The Division 3 All State Team consisted of Brandon Nylund (Kentwood), Aaron Waterman (Kentlake), Scott Anderson (Shorewood), Ben Taylor (Inglemoor), and Jalen Hines (Mt. Spokane).

High game for the boys went to Toby Sheperd with a 253 game. High game for the girls went to Danaka Heekin with a 214.
Girls Division Team
The 2009 Champions of the Girls Division was the team from Thomas Jefferson High School with 52.5 points, followed by Kentlake High School and Edmonds/Woodway High School with 35 points.
The Thomas Jefferson team consists of KC Cherne, Mackenzie Quaus, Janai Romanoff, Makenzie Cherne and Catherine Rawsthorne.
Girls Division All State Team
The Girls All State Team consists of Shanice Brice (Moses Lake), Danaka Heekin (Woodinville), Catherine Rawsthorne (Thomas Jefferson), Katie Beismann (Inglemoor) and Kayla Fencl (John Rogers).
